Sam Yan used to be so packed with delicious restaurants. Now some have moved out but you can still find famous shops. SiamHop would like to recommend a legendary congee shop, Sam Yan Congee or Joke Sam Yan which is famous for its aromatic congee with pork broth and mouthful tender minced pork balls. For something spicier, try Som Tam Jay Dang in Soi Chula 42. The highlight is grilled pork neck marinated with ground roasted rice. A little further on Bantadthong Road, you will find Hok Kee Potchana, an old Chinese restaurant famous for its goose menu.
