Heritage Route 14: Wat Benchamabophit, Dusit Wanaram Ratchaworawihan

It is said to be the best well-planned temple decorated with the best marble slab from Carrara and Genoa, Italy. Hence, the name Marble Temple. It was commissioned by King Rama V. The main Buddha image is a copy of Phra Buddha Chinarat from Phrasrirattana Mahathat Temple, Phitsanulok Province (known as Muang Song Kaew or city of 2 rivers). The cloister behind the Ubosot (ordination hall) houses 52 Buddha images in different positions collected by Krom Phraya Damrong Rajanubhab. Different from other temples’ painting which tells story of Buddha, the mural painting depicts a story of King Rama IV and his people. You can learn the history through this temple’s mural painting.

H14: Wat Benchamabophit Dusitwanaram (大理石寺)

是全泰国一所佈局最佳的佛寺，又是使用最好，由意大利 Genoa 城，Carrara 城进口的大理石，来装饰，外国遊客称之为 “Marble Temple”

从拉玛五世时期修建，大雄宝殿内的主席佛仿制彭世洛，玛哈塔佛寺内的 “帕菩塔钦那喇”。信徒们可在此佛寺参拜，而不必老远到彭世洛去。到此可看到及参拜完美的主席佛，能圆满的做公德。

在大殿後面的曲殿走廊，排列供奉着各种恣态的52尊佛像，是由“颂德公帕雅丹隆拉差努帕”从各城市收集的，而墙上的壁画艺术，一般佛寺都流行以画佛史为主。可是大理石寺的均以记载拉玛五世同子民们的伟大事记。算是可在墙上真正能学习历史。
